On January 24 2019, Dr. Li Ruohong from China World Peace Foundation, and Mr. Han Xiangguo, Counselor of the Korean Embassy held a friendly meeting at the Peace Garden Museum. The two parties conducted active discussions on regional peace, cultural exchanges, and youth interaction.
Dr. Li gave a brief introduction on the development of the Belt and Road, global governance and other public welfare activities and projects the foundation carried out in recent years. He proposed to promote the multi-field cooperation and people-to-people connections between China and South Korea through NGOs.
Counselor Han Xiangguo reviewed the past friendly exchanges between China and Korea and between the embassy and the foundation. He showed great interest in the Interactive Atlas of Cultural Interactions along the Silk Roads jointly carried out by the foundation and UNESCO and the Peace +1 approach. He is willing to collaborate more with the Foundation to promote civilization dialogue among Asian countries. The two parties also exchanged views on social, economic and cultural affairs during Mr. Han’s visit to the Peace Garden Museum.
